As you would expect from a 'for Dummies' book the content is presented in a simple manner and should be interesting for anyone that this subject appeals to, and to that extent the book is well written. That said I'm coming from a perspective of some knowledge, I didn't learn much that was new but a lot of important information is there. Skimming over the other Amazon reviews there is some question as to the level and presentation of this book; this leads me to conclude that the book may not be appropriate for a complete beginner. Most of the resources that the book refers to can be found online, and for free (such as using Non-farm payrolls as an indicator); technically, you could learn all of this information online too but beginners don't tend to know where to start. This book makes a fair attempt to providing a starting point.

The book covers both a fundamental and technical perspective, it tries to explain what drives the currency markets and what indicators you should look at in order to predict future price movement. There is a little bit of glamour here to make you think currency trading is easier than it is, but then again they want you to buy their 'products'. FX/Forex / Leveraged currency trading is not that easy and the use of leverage is likely to wipe you out (take all your money), but let's recap: the book is a guide to trading currency it isn't really a guide to make guaranteed profits with currency trading. By the end of the book you will certainly be more knowledgeable about currency markets but that is only part of the battle.

Use this book as part of your education in currency markets, not as your whole education.
